Our 8/16 Sand is commonly used as a Commercial water filter media. Our Kiln Dried sands are used in water filters to increase and maintain water quality in commercial and domestic water supplies. It can also be used in some domestic pool filters where the manufacturers specifications call for a coarser media overlayed a finer media. Our 8/16 sand is a 2.36mm-1.18mm screened product. Also usable as a finer finish rendering sand, it contains no dust with dust extraction included in our screening and grading process. 8/16 sand can also be used as the fine aggregate component when making a concrete gravel blend.
